What is virtual Assistant
There is no need to worry about the future, what will
happen with your current jobs or career path. With technology getting more
complicated on a daily basis, Virtual Assistants are becoming more accessible
than ever before. The field of virtual assistant was not developed overnight.
The evolution of VAs is a good thing, as they have helped
our workplaces adapt over time. In this article we will go over some of the
changes coming from today’s workplace into tomorrow, and how employers are
embracing it.
In today’s modern world businesses are constantly
evolving, so many companies have adapted their business models as a result.
These business models also incorporate the use of a new resource. This resource
being virtual assistants, now known as Virtual Assistants. From the beginning
of history humans used the power of natural language in a much different way.
As the needs for communication increased over time, people started developing
methods of communicating that were efficient. Humans took advantage of the benefits
of human knowledge to create ways to communicate with others. Over time people
began using various forms of communication techniques, but these days
technology has made it easier for us to talk and converse with people, thanks
to technology advancements. For example, in ancient times people would learn
languages by hearing them spoken. Today though, most people speak through text
messages, but as you can see we started talking with each other by talking with
computers. Since then computers become a common form of interaction between
human beings. Computers still help businesses communicate with customers, but
now it is easy to get a job in a company that provides computer services. It is
hard to imagine an alternate path forward for today’s workforce, in one aspect
or another.
Today if I were to ask a question to someone who works at
my company there was always the chance that I would be out of line. So often
times when I am working from home, instead of going to work to give my
colleague instructions to do his work. Sometimes I can find myself reading
books while doing errands because I have little else to do, but as I said
earlier it doesn’t matter as long as I can complete it. After all if I don’t
do, I wouldn’t be able to do it in the future I would end up leaving. Now since
the advent of smartphones and laptops, I have been able to complete tasks in a
more reliable method than before. If I want to send emails to my colleagues on
the go, I can email them on my phone so that none of them has to waste
electricity or their mobile data plans, which are expensive. When talking to a
customer, I can call them and answer any questions on the phone so that the
customer does not have to spend precious time waiting for the response or
waiting for the person to come into the office to answer it. If I need to order
supplies I can just pick them up and get them to the house I want delivered
instead of spending time searching online for those supplies. I have also found
out that there is always room for me to update myself by reading. Even if there
is a lot of stuff in my inbox, I can read it out loud for a quick review.
Lastly since I can read e-books and even on my own time to study without having
to wait for a class or lecture time it helps me stay focused on studying and to
keep myself motivated during the exam period.
When researching whether or not I want to work for my
company’s management team, I look at the options they have available. Of
course, the first option is to either sit on a desk of a desk chair and get
coffee or lunch that is provided to me and the rest of the employees who eat in
the cafeteria and go get some fresh air every day. But that isn’t what my dream
job is about. My dream job is to be a Virtual Assistant because of the
potential that I think the Virtual Assistant holds in terms of communication,
collaboration as well as in-depth research and planning that I think we could
bring to the table. Many companies today are relying heavily on the input of IT
staffs to make decisions, and more importantly, the output of these processes
on the user to make decisions. Businesses are now implementing video
conferencing across all departments in order to get all of its departments
together in a video conference to accomplish the goals of the organization.
Employees are starting to realize that they shouldn’t be working away from
home, especially with the change of COVID 19. With such developments companies
have begun to invest in remote work for all their workers across the country.
And when it came down to deciding who to hire and why I decided on hiring a
virtual assistant, I chose the name of Katie because of her background in
creating amazing websites as well as marketing. She truly believes that she is
capable, and I know she will drive to put herself in front of others who share
the same passion, and more so, motivate others into making choices of their own
as well.
Forbes states “By 2025, 70% of U.S. jobs will require a
minimum of two or more pieces of specialized skill sets.” That seems absurd to
me, but if our leaders don’t see these skills being required in most of their
jobs, then they are missing something and there is no value in investing in
individuals that think different. Companies like IBM, Amazon and Google are
investing in training in order to make sure that their employees stay current
on the newest innovations and concepts in their fields. A Virtual Assistant
will allow these organizations and professionals to increase their
competitiveness over their competitors and hopefully put themselves back in a
position of success for years to come.
Virtual Assistant Services
There are lots of Virtual Assistant services that you can
choose from with companies from around the country that provide their services.
Some of the services include:
Telephone calls to call your boss.
Online consultations to chat with clients.
In-office tours to learn more about products.
Meeting planners who can schedule meetings.
Meeting organizers who can book appointments with clients.
And some additional things. All of these services can be
used simultaneously. However most are very beneficial to their users in some
fashion. Below are the pros and cons for everyone. You might not be aware that
in a meeting we usually meet our bosses by phone and they tell the employees
who go over what is going on and how things are going. Their feedback is vital
as it helps us improve our process and hopefully make our ideas as well as
implement them into our firm. One thing that I personally love about my company
is that we have great teams. The managers are awesome, the HR is outstanding,
and the support staff has been extremely helpful for the last year. Our CFO has
done everything he possibly could to keep the company running smoothly with
minimal issues. To quote again, I love our corporate culture. We love each
other, and I love the fact that we are all here for one reason; to achieve the
best results possible.
